I'm a Los Angeles-based Boudoir photographer. As a sexual assault survivor, I have been on my own empowerment journey. And now, as a Boudoir photographer, I want to help other women embrace their bodies and sensuality.
Holiday Themed Boudoir sessions are a blast, but choosing exactly what to wear can be challenging. Before we jump into outfit options, let me tell you why you should consider doing a Holiday Boudoir session. The Holiday season is the perfect time to embrace newfound confidence; or if you don’t feel confident at all, it is the perfect time to shift how you see yourself. If you are like me, and struggle to spend money on yourself, disguise it as a gift for your partner. I promise, once you do the session, you will see how it is first and foremost a gift for yourself. So, without further ado, here are ten (really thirteen, I threw in 3 bonus ideas) brilliant Holiday Boudoir Outfit ideas for your Holiday Photography Session!
One of my favorite Holiday sayings related to Boudoir is “naughty or nice.” It is funny because you are doing an inherently “naughty” activity but yet by wearing a sweatshirt rather than being solely in lingerie you are being more conservative so toeing the line.
Some other sweatshirts designs that would be perfect for your Holiday Boudoir Outfit are:

Your Holiday Boudoir Outfit can fit in with the theme without being over the top. A great way to do this is to wear holiday colors – typically, green, red, and white. There is a ton of lingerie in these colors, so you should have no trouble finding stunning pieces that suit your body type.
Now, if you do want something more festive, I would bet there are limited time Christmas lingerie that have snowflakes or Christmas trees embroidered on.
This is a perfect Holiday Boudoir Outfit. If you are in a relationship, you could spice this up by wearing your partner’s shirt. Your red shirt could be Holiday themed or simply plain red. I would recommend having this as one of multiple outfits. Part of its allure is what is hidden underneath.
Fluffy socks can work by itself, if you are comfortable going fully nude, or can work in combination with any gorgeous lingerie piece. We all associate fluffy socks with the Holiday season because they are cozy. So by incorporating them in your outfit, you are selling the Holiday theme without having to find something explicit.
Fishnets and stockings will always be sexy and fun to incorporate into your Boudoir session. To make it Holiday themed, getting red fishnets is an easy option, and creates a perfect Holiday Boudoir outfit.
I am all about a cozy holiday theme, so here are three ways to incorporate a cozy sweater or an oversized sweater into your Holiday Boudoir Outfit
Choose a sweatshirt that is Christmas colored – green, red, or white.
You can let the cozy sweater speak for itself. Simply by wearing a sweater, your session is already in the spirit.
I could not tell you what about cable knit sweatshirts screams wintertime but it does. I love the aesthetic of cable knit sweaters, and think these would be a perfect Holiday Boudoir outfit.
Cozy is the name of the Holiday season. A warm, soft, Holiday themed blanket would be perfect. You can wrap yourself up in a blanket, drink a cup of hot chocolate in it, or maybe a glass of wine. Underneath the blanket you could be completely nude, in a stunning lingerie set, or a matching bra and panty set.
Heels are a Boudoir classic and will spice up your session ten times out of ten, so these are perfect for a Holiday Boudoir Outfit. You could even get heels that have red bottoms, which are always sexy.
I did not even know these existed until I started doing research for this blog post, but apparently there are Christmas themed heels. Some of these have baubles on the side, some have red bows on them, others have Christmas trees on them, some are red with warm fur coating, and others have candy canes on them. Heels are always really fun to work with in a Boudoir session.
This one is primarily for my Boudoir baddies who live in colder cities unlike Los Angeles. If you live somewhere where it snows, a fun Holiday Boudoir outfit would be wearing a puffy coat and just lingerie underneath. You would definitely have to brace yourself for the cold, but it would be worth it. If you were daring enough you could even take your puffy coat off and run around in the cold.
Because I am feeling extra inspired, here are two bonus Holiday Boudoir Outfit Ideas
There are different ways to incorporate these, but my favorite is when they are wrapped around your whole body or just your legs. I love taking photographs during the process or you untangling the lights and wrapping them around your limbs. This adds another fun element to your photos. Holiday lights can also be used to create leading lines, which draw attention to certain parts of your body.
This might seem cheesy, but I promise this could be super sexy and cute. This would pair really well with a red lingerie set or black lingerie. If you did a session out of a house, a Boudoir session set in your kitchen or putting lights up around your house would be really fun.
This one is definitely not cute but is definitely sexy. You can create handcuffs out of red ribbon and pose with your hands tied behind your back and in front of you. This works really well for poses on a bed where you are kneeling or lying down. Trust me this is a winner.
