Back in college, I had no idea that boudoir photography was a thing, let alone a profession that would become my passion.
At the time, I was deep in the biochemistry world, miserable, and severely lacking confidence. I liked myself, but never felt confident in my skin; and I was trying to process all of the sexual trauma I had experienced.
I thought to myself "why not, it can't hurt..." and low and behold it was a monumental moment in my life. After that shoot, I found myself returning to those photos whenever I was having an off-day or needed a confidence boost.

I am asking you to trust me with a deeply personal, intimate experience, so I figured it was my turn to be vulnerable first.
Personally, boudoir has played a massive role in my journey. I grew up in an environment that lacked diversity and taught me that beauty was equated to Eurocentric features. I spent a lot of time being overcritical of my body. My confidence was quite literally on the floor.
I was first exposed to boudoir photography in college with a couple of my closest friends. Immediately, I knew it was something special. I routinely found myself returning to the photos when I was having an off-day and feeling my spirits instantly lift.
It is my dream, to be able to impart this feeling and confidence to other women. My hope is that I can help you reclaim the most precious thing you inhabit and light your inner fire so it can never be dampened. Our bodies are precious and beautiful and deserve to be appreciated. The second half of my dream, is to ensure that you have a blast while doing so and feel more free afterwards.

A little bit of everywhere
I moved around a bunch when I was younger - New York to London to Colorado - but Los Angeles has felt the most like home to me. I have always been a city girl at heart, but simultaneously in love with the outdoors. Los Angeles combines both, and let's be honest the food is phenomenal and I could never give that up!
Hobbies
I love crafts - embroidery, crocheting, painting, drawing - you name it. I taught myself how to embroider years ago and since then it has always been one of my favorite activities. The perfect day to me is sitting in a park with friends, doing crafts and enjoying nature.
The things most important to me are my friends, my family, experiencing and the world, and the beauty and peacefulness that exists solely in nature.
I recommend scheduling your maternity boudoir photoshoot between 28-32 weeks. You belly should be beautifully visible and you should still be able to move around comfortably. Your comfort is most important. Your maternity boudoir session should center your beauty and comfort. Soft lace, stretchy materials and flowy fabrics are the perfect choice. We can take breaks as you need them, so you never feel rushed.

Under no circumstances are you expected to know how to pose, that is my job. I will guide you through each and every pose, making any minor adjustments to guarantee you look as beautiful as possible. I have found that the best way to explain poses, is by demonstrating them. I have got you covered!
I would bet money that every time you look at your stunning photographs you will be filled with warmth and in awe of how amazing you look. After your reveal, you will have the option to upgrade to. beautiful wall art or albums.
While I do not have a client wardrobe for you to choose pieces from. I have tons of advice I love to share. So, I will happily provide insight before your session and at your session! You can bring lingerie, oversized clothing, dresses, entire outfits, jackets, jeans, and so much more. I love when my clients bring sentimental items to incorporate.
If your session includes hair and make-up your experience will begin with a relaxing hair and make-up session. How often do you get to be professionally pampered? Regardless of what look you are after we have you covered. All you need to do is arrive with dry hair and in your comfiest clothing. We have got the rest! If your session does not include hair and make-up, we get to jump right into the fun!

I always look awkward in my photos. What if I look awkward in my boudoir photographs?
Almost every woman I have ever had the pleasure of working with has said the same thing, but then fallen in love with their photographs and ended up feeling comfortable. I will provide you with guidance through the ENTIRE process to guarantee that you do not look awkward. I will guide you through everything from where to place your fingertips, to what facial expression you should make.
Trust me and my past clients that by the end of the session, you will not be feeling awkward anymore.
And lastly, remember, you are not expected to know what to do in front of the camera. I have got you covered!
What if I don't know what to wear?
There are so many options! Before I jump into a couple of my favorite, I want to remind you that the most important factor is that you feel comfortable in what you are wearing, even if it is outside your traditional comfort zone. Before your boudoir session, I will send you a guide outlining some items you can bring to your photoshoot.
A couple of my favorite choices are bodysuits and three-piece sets. I have never met somebody who did not look fantastic in a bodysuit; and I personally love the variety of poses we can do with a three piece lingerie set and thigh high stockings!
The most important thing is that your outfits reflect YOU.
What if I don't feel comfortable wearing lingerie during my boudoir shoot?
It is simple - then don't.
Your boudoir photoshoot is for you, so if you're not comfortable wearing lingerie, don't wear it.
A boudoir photoshoot does not have to include lingerie. I have lots of clients bring stunning dresses, jeans, shorts, skirts, sporty bra and panty sets, power suits, and so much more. The only criteria is bring outfits that make you feel powerful.
My only caveat is if you "don't think lingerie is meant for you or your body," push yourself. Bring the lingerie. If by the end of your boudoir photoshoot you still feel uncomfortable in the lingerie, don't wear it. But I think you will be surprised at how confident and comfortable you will be. So challenge yourself and see what happens.
"I don't have my dream, perfect body..."
If you have this commentary in your head, I would push you to ask yourself what a dream body is?
Yes, you can lose weight, or remove certain blemishes, but regardless of how your body changes a new insecurity will always pop up.
Any woman you look to and idolize, also has insecurities. I would bet it is exactly what you were admiring or something you hadn't even noticed. My point is, we all have insecurities.
That is not to say, you are not allowed to have insecurities, but rather don't put off an experience until you eradicate all your "flaws," because that day will never come. Instead, embrace this opportunity as a way to fall in-love with your body as it is.
I don't have a reason to do a boudoir photoshoot...
- They're getting married and want to surprise their fiancé with an album or some photos
- They are pregnant ant to celebrate with maternity boudoir photographs
- They are getting a divorce and want to feel confident and powerful
- As a gift for a significant other.
But to be completely candid, the best reason is for yourself. And that alone is reason enough. Even if you have a different motive, the experience is still for YOU.
Are you going to share my boudoir photographs?
Not unless you give me explicit permission to. I do not share any of my client's boudoir photographs without a signed model release.
I value my client's privacy more than anything else, so if you do not feel comfortable with your photos being posted, I totally understand and will respect your wishes. However, if you are willing to let me post them, I would love to show off your photos.

I want to do a boudoir shoot, but don't have the confidence
All you need is the courage to take the next step. I have got you covered from there.
Months ago, I saw a woman talking about confidence on TikTok and it resonated with me. She was discussing how confidence is not innate, but rather the act of doing in spite of fear. Essentially, confidence is built by doing activities or taking risks, regardless of if they intimidate you.
So if a boudoir photoshoot is daunting to you, get ready to leap. Invest in yourself. Because I can guarantee you will feel infinitely more confident and proud of yourself afterwards.
I want to do this, but don't think boudoir photography is meant for me...
Boudoir photography is meant for all women - of all shapes and sizes. All bodies are unique and beautiful and are worthy of being celebrated.
Quite frankly, if you are asking yourself if it is right for you, it almost definitely is.
A boudoir photoshoot should uplift you and remind you of your strength, beauty and power.
Because you deserve it.
Do you "photoshop" your boudoir photographs?
I do not believe in photoshopping my boudoir photographs. Our "blemishes" are what make us unique and beautiful. Typically, I hear people joking about wanting their insecurities removed from their boudoir photographs. While, I understand this, that takes the YOU out of your photographs, and defeats the point. Now, this viewpoint might be atypical for a boudoir photographer, especially a Los Angeles based boudoir photographer, but I stand by it. I want to help you feel confident in your body as it is, not a body you can't recognize.
My goal as a boudoir photographer is to help you see yourself in a new light. So, I am going to do my utmost to show you in the most flattering ways and highlight what you love about yourself. I believe you are naturally breathtaking and want to help you believe it too. Personally, I got into boudoir photography because I do not think there is a "perfect" body and I want all women to feel confident and as stunning as they are.
Now, with that being said, if you have a pimple, I will happily remove that as part of my retouching process. A pimple, is temporary and not part of your natural self. But I will not alter your physical body by adjusting your arms, back, stomach, or removing your wrinkles.
Then boudoir is right for you
- You never end up with good photographs of yourself. You constantly find yourself taking great photos for other people, but don't end up with them for yourself.
- You are constantly running around for other people and never get to make a day all about YOU.
- You tell yourself that you will do a photoshoot once you lose weight or get more confident.
- You want to feel empowered and more emboldened.
- You want to embrace your sensual side and feel powerful
- You want to see yourself in a new, bold light
