Almost every woman I have ever had the pleasure of working with has said the same thing, but then fallen in love with their photographs and ended up feeling comfortable. I will provide you with guidance through the ENTIRE process to guarantee that you do not look awkward. I will guide you through everything from where to place your fingertips, to what facial expression you should make. 

Trust me and my past clients that by the end of the session, you will not be feeling awkward anymore.

And lastly, remember, you are not expected to know what to do in front of the camera. I have got you covered!

There are so many options! Before I jump into a couple of my favorite, I want to remind you that the most important factor is that you feel comfortable in what you are wearing, even if it is outside your traditional comfort zone. Before your Boudoir session, I will send you a guide outlining some items you can bring to your photoshoot. 

A couple of my favorite choices are bodysuits and three-piece sets. I have never met somebody who did not look fantastic in a bodysuit; and I personally love the variety of poses we can do with a three piece lingerie set and thigh high stockings!

The most important thing is that your outfits reflect YOU.

It is simple - then don't.

Your Boudoir photoshoot is for you, so if you're not comfortable wearing lingerie, don't wear it. 

A Boudoir photoshoot does not have to include lingerie. I have lots of clients bring stunning dresses, jeans, shorts, skirts, sporty bra and panty sets, power suits, and so much more. The only criteria is bring outfits that make you feel powerful.

My only caveat is if you "don't think lingerie is meant for you or your body," push yourself. Bring the lingerie. If by the end of your Boudoir photoshoot you still feel uncomfortable in the lingerie, don't wear it. But I think you will be surprised at how confident and comfortable you will be. So challenge yourself and see what happens.

If you have this commentary in your head, I would push you to ask yourself what a dream body is?

Yes, you can lose weight, or remove certain blemishes, but regardless of how your body changes a new insecurity will always pop up. 

Any woman you look to and idolize, also has insecurities. I would bet it is exactly what you were admiring or something you hadn't even noticed. My point is, we all have insecurities.

That is not to say, you are not allowed to have insecurities, but rather don't put off an experience until you eradicate all your "flaws," because that day will never come. Instead, embrace this opportunity as a way to fall in-love with your body as it is. 

There are an infinite number of reasons women do Boudoir:
They're getting married and want to surprise their fiancé with an album or some photos
They are pregnant ant to celebrate with maternity Boudoir photographs
They are getting a divorce and want to feel confident and powerful 
As a gift for a significant other.

But to be completely candid, the best reason is for yourself. And that alone is reason enough. Even if you have a different motive, the experience is still for YOU.

Not unless you give me explicit permission to. I do not share any of my client's photographs without a signed model release. 

I value my client's privacy more than anything else, so if you do not feel comfortable with your photos being posted, I totally understand and will respect your wishes. However, if you are willing to let me post them, I would love to show off your photos.

Months ago, I saw a woman talking about confidence on TikTok and it resonated with me. She was discussing how confidence is not innate, but rather the act of doing in spite of fear.  Essentially, confidence is built by doing activities or taking risks, regardless of if they intimidate you. 

So if Boudoir is daunting to you, get ready to leap. Invest in yourself. Because I can guarantee you will feel infinitely more confident and proud of yourself afterwards. 

Boudoir photography is meant for all women - of all shapes and sizes. All bodies are unique and beautiful and are worthy of being celebrated.

Quite frankly, if you are asking yourself if it is right for you, it almost definitely is. 

A Boudoir photoshoot should uplift you and remind you of your strength, beauty and power. 

Because you deserve it.

I do not believe in photoshopping my Boudoir photographs. Our "blemishes" are what make us unique and beautiful. Typically, I hear people joking about wanting their insecurities removed from their Boudoir photographs. While, I understand this, that takes the YOU out of your photographs, and defeats the point. Now, this viewpoint might be atypical for a Boudoir photographer, especially a Los Angeles based Boudoir photographer, but I stand by it. I want to help you feel confident in your body as it is, not a body you can't recognize.

My goal as a Boudoir photographer is to help you see yourself in a new light. So, I am going to do my utmost to show you in the most flattering ways and highlight what you love about yourself. I believe you are naturally breathtaking and want to help you believe it too. Personally, I got into Boudoir photography because I do not think there is a "perfect" body and I want all women to feel confident and as stunning as they are. 

Now, with that being said, if you have a pimple, I will happily remove that as part of my retouching process. A pimple, is temporary and not part of your natural self. But I will not alter your physical body by adjusting your arms, back, stomach, or removing your wrinkles.
