Many women find empowerment through Los Angeles boudoir.

Luxury boudoir photography in Los Angeles is perfect for celebrating special milestones.

Boudoir photography in Los Angeles is an intimate experience that emphasizes your strength and beauty.

A high-end, luxury Los Angeles boudoir experience combines guided posing and styling to create photos that feel captivating and personal. Instead of a stereotypical photography experience for most women, focused on capturing a quick smile, boudoir is centered on how you want to feel. Grounded. Powerful. Confident and comfortable in your own skin. Boudoir removes everyday distractions and allows you to appreciate your body for how beautiful it is.

You do not need any modeling experience or change your body. You just need to show up as yourself. Let me, or a boudoir photographer near you, show you how to fall in-love with your body and all of its “flaws.”

Lots of women choose to invest in a luxury boudoir experience to connect with their femininity.

There are an infinite number of reasons women book boudoir sessions. Truthfully, you do not need a reason, you can simply do a photoshoot because you want to. Boudoir is an opportunity to truly see yourself. Too often, societally women are taught to be overly critical of ourselves and that we need to wait until a major milestone in order to celebrate ourselves.

  • To celebrate a major milestone
  • To reclaim confidence after changes in your life. This could be a fluctuation in your weight, or it could be that you moved to a new city and are starting “over.”
  • The only way to grow is to do things that make you feel uncomfortable. So this is your sign to step outside of your comfort zone.
  • To see a new side of yourself. We all have a sensual, soft, powerful side, but it is easier for some women to connect with it than others. Boudoir is a fantastic opportunity to continue strengthening this internal relationship.
  • Women in their 40s embracing their stories. These women are finally giving themselves permission to celebrate their journey and how their confidence has transformed.
  • Women who want to have fun
  • Women who want to be fully seen
  • Returning clients who want to document and celebrate another phase of their lives.
  • Women in their 50s who are finally unapologetically accepting and choosing themselves. Often I hear from my clients who are in their 50s and 60s that they dreamt of doing a boudoir photoshoot when they were in their 20s but never did, and are finally taking the leap.
  • Women getting boudoir photos taken for their partners. So they can create a very special, unique gift for their significant other.

Boudoir photography can be a truly transformative experience. Even if you don’t think it will alter how you see yourself, it will. Lots of my clients at ELI Boudoir are apprehensive and believe that it is meant for other women. However, they are all pleasantly surprised at their reveal when they can barely recognize themselves and their new confidence.

Booking a luxury Los Angeles boudoir experience should be a straightforward process. If the boudoir photographer you are exploring has a complicated process, you should find someone else.

At ELI Boudoir, you are able to schedule your photoshoot online and pay as either a simple one time payment or set up a payment plan. I offer optional phone consultations to ease any nerves you might have.

Do you want hair and make-up included with your boudoir shoot or would you prefer to do your own hair and make-up?

Embrace your inner beauty through a luxury Los Angeles boudoir experience.

Most boudoir photographers will either provide hair and make-up with your session or it will be available as an add-on. At ELI Boudoir, I include make-up in your boudoir experience. At ELI Boudoir we think it is integral to having the best experience and feeling like this experience is all about you. With that being said, if you feel more comfortable doing your own make-up, just let me know. My goal is to help you feel your best during your luxury boudoir experience, then invest in it. Especially if you are only planning on doing a boudoir photoshoot once.

Posing is one of the most intimidating aspects of a boudoir session. Prior to becoming a boudoir photographer, I would have frozen in front of a camera if I was told to pose in my lingerie. In fact, I would not have stepped in front of the camera in the first place. 98% of my clients do not know how to pose before their boudoir photoshoot, so do not let that be a deterrent.

Doing a boudoir shoot takes an incredible amount of bravery. As a luxury boudoir studio in Los Angeles, I never expect my clients to pose themselves. I love when my clients have ideas and props they want to incorporate, but that is not the expectation. I will hold your hand throughout your boudoir photoshoot. Based on your booking inquiry, I prepare a pose list for each and every client. The posing guide will vary depending on what makes you feel confident and insecure.

Throughout your luxury boudoir experience, your boudoir photographer will guide you through every pose. Any quality boudoir photographer in Los Angeles will provide instructions from your hands to your fingertips. This way you are never overthinking what you are doing and whether or not you look “silly.”

At your session reveal and ordering appointment you will be able to select your favorite photographs. At this appointment, you will be able to select products from curated heirloom albums to timeless wall art. Most of my clients at ELI Boudoir choose luxury albums that preserve their confidence.

This is my second favorite aspect of each luxury boudoir session at ELI Boudoir. I love seeing my client’s confidence skyrocket in front of my eyes. I cannot tell you how many clients cannot believe their eyes and feel like they are looking at somebody else. It is such a privilege to see how each stunning boudoir photograph impacts you. It truly makes me feel so lucky to be a boudoir photographer in Los Angeles.

Preparing for your boudoir shoot is a simple yet often overlooked aspect of your luxury boudoir experience. Most of these steps feel obvious, but are often forgotten. These recommendations are to make both your and my life easier. As a boudoir photographer, I want to spend the majority of my time working with my fantastic clients, rather than making minuscule adjustments to your photos.

  • Prepare your 4-6 outfit options.
    • Make sure you pack a few shoe options.
    • Pack a button down or oversized jacket to incorporate
    • Make sure you choose pieces that make you feel confident
    • Make sure these outfits are not restrictive. If you do not feel like you can naturally move your body, choose a different outfit. Rigid outfits make it difficult to move between poses. Often this is reflected on your face or your body will end up contorting peculiarly.
  • Put aside an outfit to wear to and from your photoshoot. Make sure this outfit is not tight on your body. If you wear tight pants to your photoshoot, you are going to have red imprinted marks on your skin from the elastic. Trust me, you don’t want these lines.
  • Make sure you stay well hydrated the week before your photoshoot.
  • Get a wax at least a week in advance. I recommend shaving or waxing in advance in case your skin reacts. You don’t want red, irritated skin or razor bumps during your photoshoot.
  • Avoid new skincare routines before your photoshoot. You want to avoid any skincare products that could cause your skin to breakout.
  • Avoid dying your hair or cutting your hair the week of your photoshoot.
  • Please avoid spray tanners the week prior to your photoshoot. There are a few reasons for this: your spray tan comes off on my furniture, and sometimes tanner can be uneven or patchy.
  • Get a pedicure and manicure. I would recommend getting a nude or pastel color. Anything too bright will detract from you and your lingerie as the focus of the shoot. Or if you do not want to get a full on manicure, make sure you shape your nails.
  • Clean the soles of your feet or pack some baby wipes so you can clean them periodically during your boudoir session. I don’t want the soles of your feet to pull focus away from how mesmerizing you look.
  • Make sure you prioritize rest the night before. A full night’s sleep will help you look energetic and will soothe any residual nerves you have.
  • Stretch!! Trust me on this one, your body will thank you later.
  • Pack a few snacks to have after your photoshoot. Trust me, boudoir sessions are a workout in and of themselves.
  • Eat breakfast the day of your photoshoot. Your body needs energy to execute all of the poses.

Your luxury boudoir session is about seeing yourself with clarity. So trust the process. Confidence is like a muscle. It is built over time and by every step. Actions that instill confidence is how you build and continue to strengthen your confidence. So, do not wait until you feel ready. You will be waiting for eternity and miss out on these special opportunities and preserve who you are now.

Choosing the right “looks” or outfits for your luxury boudoir experience is one of the most crucial decisions and can often feel intimidating. You want to make sure your outfits invoke confidence, flatter your body and push your comfort zone. Choose at least one outfit that pushes your boundaries and is slightly bolder than normal. You will surprise yourself with how beautiful and powerful you will feel.

The only outfit requirement for boudoir is that your clothing reflects who you are. There are extensive outfit options you can wear to your luxury boudoir experience. The most important factors are that you feel comfortable and beautiful in each outfit. If you don’t know what direction to go, lingerie is a classic, stunning choice.

  • Two-piece and three-piece lingerie sets
  • Teddies or bodysuits
  • Oversized sweaters paired with high waisted panties
  • Dresses (could be long, short, lace or sheer)
  • Button-down shirts paired with either lingerie or a matching bra and panty set
  • For bridal boudoir shoots, bridal accessories pair beautifully with lingerie: veils and heels

If you are searching for lingerie that accentuates your figure, make sure you choose lingerie with high waisted panties. These panties will help create the illusion of an hourglass figure. Low cut panties will make your figure look more flat and rectangular. A mid cut panty might not make your body look as square as a low-cut panty, but it simply will not visually flatter your figure. If you are plus size and have yet to find a lingerie guide that includes you, here you are.

I love when my boudoir clients bring a dress to shoot in. While dresses are not stereotypical outfits for boudoir photoshoots, they should be. Dresses are the perfect outfit to start your photoshoot off with. They allow you to gain confidence in front of the camera, so that by the time you get your lingerie pieces you are feeling relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.

Your boudoir photographer should be able to provide guidance based on your body type and comfort level. I always recommend that my boudoir clients bring a range of outfits. I always suggest starting with the most conservative outfit and working your way up to the most revealing. This way as your comfortability and confidence grows, you will feel less self-conscious in front of the camera.

If you are looking for a thorough lingerie guide this blog post categorizes lingerie by price point and explains the nuances in styles, so you can shop smarter not harder. This blog post will also provide lingerie stores in Los Angeles you can shop at, so you can support local businesses! Even in the digital age of shopping, going to stores in person can be extremely valuable, especially if you are trying to decipher what styles suit you.

To understand what styles of lingerie compliment your specific body type, read this blog post.

A high quality luxury boudoir photography experience in Los Angeles, will typically cost between mid to high four figures. This estimate includes the session fee as well as any products such as heirloom albums and wall art. I know that sounds steep, but your boudoir photoshoot is about more than just photos. Boudoir is an extremely intimate experience, and you deserve someone to handle you with care. It is about having fun and transforming your relationship with your beautiful body.

  • Consider the experience level of the boudoir photographer. I would personally make sure that they feature various body sizes, shapes, and colors in their portfolio.
  • Whether or not they provide styling guidance.
  • Is hair and make-up included in the session fee or available as an add-on?
  • Are you able to purchase heirloom albums and wall art through the boudoir studio?
  • Do they have positive reviews from their previous boudoir clients?

What do my clients typically spend at ELI Boudoir?

Most of my boudoir clients spend between 3,000 and 8,000 on the entire luxury boudoir experience: the session itself, stunning artwork and photographs. You are definitely able to spend more and less depending on what you want out of your experience. I offer in house payment plans as well to make this experience more accessible. You are worth it!

Many women report feeling more confident after investing in a luxury boudoir expeirence.

Boudoir in Los Angeles is all about self-love and acceptance.

Boudoir photography is often seen as a significant investment, both financially and emotionally, as it offers a meaningful, confidence-building, and transformative experience for women. Clients at ELI Boudoir have found that the value lies not just in the photos but in the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, celebrate their current selves, and take a moment for self-reflection.

This process allows individuals to embrace their uniqueness and appreciate their bodies in a new light. Many find that the experience fosters self-love and empowerment that extends beyond the photoshoot. The supportive environment encourages vulnerability, making it easier to connect with oneself. Ultimately, the lasting impact can inspire a newfound confidence that influences various aspects of life. Embracing this journey can lead to a deeper understanding of personal beauty and strength.

What makes luxury boudoir photography worth it, is not perfection, it is perspective. During a professional boudoir session, you will be guided through the experience with intentionality and care. Your photographs will highlight your strength and softness. Being able to see yourself through a different lens can be powerful. It can shift the way you look at yourself long after your photoshoot.

Having tangible evidence of your confidence and beauty can be a profound experience. This could be a stunning heirloom album or wall art to decorate your walls. These photographs can serve as reminders of your season or growth, your power, your courage, and your reinvention. Your boudoir album is proof that you show up for yourself.

All women and people deserve to have a luxury boudoir experience at least once in their lives. Boudoir is a fun, uplifting, and empowering experience. There will always be another excuse to put off doing the boudoir shoot, but I want to challenge you to do something for yourself.

There will always be another reason to delay booking your luxury boudoir photoshoot experience. You might feel like your life is too busy and you cannot take time for yourself, however, you have to start prioritizing yourself. You cannot take care of everyone around you if you do not take care of yourself. If you are waiting to lose weight, gain confidence, or reach a milestone – you will inevitably never do the boudoir shoot.

The only regret I have heard from my boudoir clients is waiting to do the shoot, not investing in the luxury boudoir experience earlier.  My clients in their 50s and 60s often tell me they wish they had done their first boudoir shoot in their 20s. So take their advice and book the luxury boudoir experience.

So many factors go into being a fantastic boudoir photographer, not just any photographer can knock your luxury boudoir experience out of the ballpark. Here are few details to look for when you search for your luxury boudoir photographer in Los Angeles:

  • Look for a boudoir photographer whose portfolio speaks to you.
  • Make sure their verbiage connects with you. If you have a phone call consultation make sure it builds trust and makes you feel comfortable.
    • At ELI Boudoir, phone consultations are available upon request!
  • Make sure you are clear on deliverables. Do you get all of the digital photographs, when will you get to see all of your photos, will you select printed artwork after your photoshoot and get corresponding digitals?
    • At ELI Boudoir, my clients receive 4 5×7 prints with their session booking. Additional physical artwork can be purchased during their session reveal and ordering appointment. These prints can be used as a $200 credit towards any heirloom album or wall art.
  • Check to see if they have positive client reviews
  • Make sure that they have experience with women of all ages and body types

The best boudoir photographer for you is someone who makes you feel safe and comfortable. If you feel tense or do not trust your photographer, you will not be able to get the most out of this experience.

Absolutely not. As a luxury boudoir photographer, I will never show your boudoir photographs without your explicit permission. Typically, at ELI Boudoir, my clients sign one of three model releases: full model release, partial model release, or no model release. A full model release means that I, ELI Boudoir, have agency to use any of the boudoir photographs from your boudoir photoshoot on social media and my website. A partial model release gives you control over which photographs I am able to use. Lastly, no model release means that I will not share any of your beautiful boudoir photographs anywhere.

I love being able to show off my clients work, but especially given the intimate nature of boudoir photoshoots, I would never show your photos without your permission. It can take such immense bravery to book a boudoir shoot, and that journey is yours to decide how private you want it to be.

There is great power in showing your boudoir photos and being able to show the diversity in my clients, but I never want to pressure my clients. You will decide what kind of model release you want during your session reveal and ordering appointment. So, you do not have to rush the decision.

Luxury boudoir photography in Los Angeles can be a celebration of your unique beauty.

Completely. To be completely frank, almost all of my clients show up to the studio a little nervous. Who wouldn’t be. Boudoir is an intimidating experience, but it is so rewarding. All of my clients leave feeling confident and excited to see their stunning photographs.

The standard luxury boudoir experience duration at ELI Boudoir is 3.5-4 hours. This includes an hour and a half for make-up at the beginning of your experience. This is plenty of time to go at your own pace. We have enough time to take breaks when you need them and pause at any moment. The rest of the time is for your beautiful photographs. Throughout your two hour photoshoot we will get through 5 outfits. Luxury boudoir photography in Los Angeles helps women reclaim their confidence.

At ELI Boudoir, I advise against bringing a friend. While in theory it could be beneficial and it might relax some of your nerves, it will actually make you feel stiffer. It sounds counterintuitive, but this is what I have noticed during my photoshoots. When your friend is in the studio with us, you will look to them to tell you if you look awkward or how to adjust your pose rather than asking me. I promise, I will help you pose from details like what should I do with my fingertips to where should my leg be positioned.

Your journey with boudoir photography starts with a simple inquiry form or booking process.

Invest in yourself with a Los Angeles boudoir experience. If you are still wondering, Is boudoir photography worth it? Start here.

So, my policy is that I will let a female friend come to the studio with you, but it is against my recommendation. I must be notified that your friend is coming prior to the day of your photoshoot.

So, my policy is that I will let a female friend come to the studio with you, but it is against my recommendation. I must be notified that your friend is coming prior to the day of your photoshoot.
