Eli Boudoir

Maybe you have been thinking about doing a boudoir session for years.

Maybe the idea only recently crossed your mind.

Or maybe part of you desperately wants to do it, while another part keeps whispering that you should wait until you lose weight, feel more confident, reach a milestone, or somehow become more “ready.”

Here is what I want you to know:

You do not have to become someone else before you are worthy of being photographed.

Boudoir is not reserved for a certain age, body type, relationship status, or level of confidence.

It is for women who want to experience themselves differently.

To slow down.

To take up space.

To reconnect with the person staring back at them in the mirror.

And sometimes, simply to do something that feels really freaking good.

Boudoir is for women who are ready to see themselves differently.

Who is boudoir for?

There are a million wonderful reasons to do a boudoir photoshoot.

A birthday.

A wedding.

A new baby.

An anniversary.

A divorce.

A personal transformation.

A fresh start.

But the truth?

You don't need a reason.

You don't need to earn it.

You don't need to wait until your body changes.

You don't need to feel completely confident before you walk through the studio doors.

And you definitely do not need someone else's permission.

You can simply want to do it.

You Do Not Need a Reason to Book a Boudoir Session

You do not have to feel  natural in front of the camera.

You do not have to know how to pose.

You do not have to walk into the studio radiating confidence.

In fact, being nervous is completely normal.

Your job is not to show up knowing exactly what to do.

That is my job.

I will guide you through your entire session, from what to do with your hands to your body position, expression, movement, and all the tiny adjustments in between.

You simply have to show up.

Maybe you spend most of your life producing.

Leading.

Creating.

Making decisions.

Taking care of people.

Being the one who has everything handled.

There is something incredibly freeing about entering a space where you do not have to perform for anyone.

You get to let go.

Be guided.

Play.

Explore.

And reconnect with a part of yourself that may not get much room in your everyday life.

It does not always need to be deep.

Seriously.

Maybe you want to wear the lingerie.

Turn up the music.

Feel hot.

Laugh.

Play.

Do something wildly outside your normal routine.

And walk out thinking, holy shit, I actually did that.

That is a perfectly good reason too.

You might be finally realizing that getting older doesn’t make you any less sexy or worthy of being seen.

Quite the opposite.

There is something incredibly powerful about knowing yourself better than you did at 25.

Your body has experienced life.

You have evolved.

You have grown.

And you are allowed to celebrate the woman you are now instead of wishing for a version of yourself from a previous decade.

Your story is worth documenting exactly as you are right now.

Divorce.

Heartbreak.

A move.

A major life transition.

An internal change, nobody else is privy to.

Sometimes you reach a pinnacle, where you realize the version of yourself who entered that chapter is not the same woman staring back at herself.

A boudoir session does not need to erase the journey.

It can simply give you the space to reconnect with yourself.

Your strength.

Your sensuality.

Your tenderness.

Your ownership of your body and your life.

Birthdays.

Anniversaries.

Career accomplishments.

Health journeys.

Personal growth.

Or simply the realization that you have spent years showing up for other people but not yourself, and you would like to do something for yourself.

Sometimes a boudoir session becomes a marker in your life.

A tangible reminder:

Of who you were in that moment. And that you are always worth celebrating.

Pregnancy transforms your body in ways that can feel beautiful, unfamiliar, powerful, emotional, and sometimes all of those things at once.

Maternity boudoir gives you space to honor this temporary chapter without trying to change it.

You are creating life.

That is worthy of being documented.

Wedding planning can become incredibly focused on everyone and everything else.

The venue. The flowers. The guest list. The timeline.

A bridal boudoir session gives you a moment that is entirely yours.

It can absolutely become an intimate gift for your partner.

But more importantly, it is a way of documenting you at the beginning of this new chapter. So we can capture your excitement, femininity, confidence, anticipation, and everything that makes you, you.

I was definitely hesitant at first. I’ve never done a boudoir shoot and felt self-conscious about my body going into it. I was pretty nervous walking in.

Elili instantly made me feel calm, confident, and comfortable. She directs you the entire time, finds the best light and angles, and keeps the experience fun and easy. Nothing felt awkward. I left feeling empowered, more confident, and with a new appreciation for my body exactly as it is.

If you’re thinking about booking with Elili, do it. Her work is absolutely gorgeous and truly makes you feel like you belong in a magazine.

You are not required to arrive confident.

Confidence does not always come before doing the thing that scares you.

Sometimes it comes because you did it.

Inside my Los Angeles boudoir studio, you are guided throughout the entire experience. You never need to know how to pose, where to look, what expression to make, or how to make your body appear a certain way.

You are not expected to perform.

You are allowed to simply be there.

And little by little, something usually shifts.

The nerves soften.

You stop thinking quite so much.

You begin trusting yourself.

And eventually, you start seeing what I have been seeing through my camera all along.

But I Don’t Feel Confident Enough Yet

The body that has carried you.

The softness and strength that can exist at the same time.

The version of you who has made it through every chapter so far.

And capturing her intentionally as art.

It is about seeing the woman who is already here.

This experience is not about transforming you into a more acceptable version of yourself.

It is not about hiding the pieces you have been taught to criticize.

It is not about waiting until you are thinner, younger, braver, sexier, or more comfortable in your skin.

Boudoir Is Not About Becoming Someone Else

If you have been searching for the perfect reason to finally book a boudoir session, maybe this is it:

You want to.

That is enough.

You only get to live this chapter once.

You do not have to wait for a different body.

A different age.

A different level of confidence.

Or a different version of yourself.

You are already the woman worth photographing.

And if something inside you keeps coming back to the idea of doing this, I would love to create that experience with you.

You Are the Reason

It is never too late

The right time is now
